B&B Den Witten Leeuw

We are happy to welcome you in our house in Bruges.
The house, formerly called “DEN WITTEN LEEUW” (translated as THE WHITE LION), has been family property since 1894. We are the fourth and fifth generation who live in this house.
In the town files we can relocate the house from 1580, this is confirmed by an old medieval floor that we found under the ground during the transformation of the house to the guestrooms. We also found during the same renovation a brick water well on a wooden cask. The water well is now enlighted and you can admire it under glass.


The house

The large spaces and the sunny garden create a pleasant atmosphere. Thanks to our little boy who likes to play outside, our garden with swing and play tower is a very nice play area for children. The childfriendly dogs and the cats are also a member of our family, but they stay in the private part of our house and garden.


The garden

In the garden we have a swimming pool that is heated till up to 28 degrees between May and the end of September, which can be refreshing during hot summer days.

During your stay you can always use the ground floor with breakfast corner, living room, veranda and a little sunny garden terrace.
